Chris Pratt’s Terminal List Season 3 Return, Book Adaptation Story Teased by Author and Creator

Plans remain unconfirmed
In an interview with ScreenRant’s Liam Crowley, author Jack Carr and creator David DiGilio discussed possible directions for The Terminal List. Carr said he was hopeful and that developments were underway, while cautioning that plans in the industry can still change.
Carr said announcements could arrive soon, but neither he nor DiGilio confirmed a third season. It also remains unknown whether any announcement will concern the main series or another project in its universe.
Savage Son may change onscreen
The show’s second season drew from True Believer, the second novel, in which fugitive James Reece is recruited by the CIA to fight a technologically advanced Al-Qaeda. It also continued threads from the prequel series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf.
DiGilio said the team is a fan of Savage Son, the third book, and described a possible adaptation as substantially different from the novel. He did not confirm that the book would be adapted next.
A wider story universe
DiGilio has previously described a 10-year plan to connect stories across the franchise. Dark Wolf has already expanded the onscreen universe beyond Reece’s story, while Pratt’s role as Reece remains a central part of the franchise.
The book series has eight novels, with two adapted onscreen so far. Five unadapted books follow James Reece, while Cry Havoc is a prequel about his father, Tom Reece. State of Exile is scheduled for release on October 5, 2027.
