iPhone Duo gains two standout features in iOS 27.2, reports 9to5mac
Pencil support arrives
iPhone Duo now supports Apple Pencil with the release of iOS 27.2. The feature arrived days after the device first reached users. Only Apple Pencil (USB-C) is supported. Users can work on either display to annotate PDFs and images, sketch, doodle or save handwritten notes.
A quick arrival
After Apple unveiled iPhone Duo last month, many users expected Pencil support to take longer to arrive. Instead, it was included in this update. The addition gives owners a way to use the stylus across both screens. The update identifies no other Pencil model as compatible.
Edge Light for calls
iOS 27.2 also brings Edge Light to iPhone Duo. The feature places a ring of light around the display to illuminate the user’s face during video calls. Edge Light can be used with FaceTime and third-party calling apps including Zoom. iPhone Duo’s foldable laptop-style, or seated, mode also allows hands-free calls.

- iOS 27.2 adds two features exclusive to iPhone Duo.
