Hardy Crime Thriller MobLand Officially Dominates Streaming Charts as Season Two Earns Stronger Reviews

Hardy anchors the crime drama

Hardy plays Harry Da Souza, a fixer for the Harrigan family, whose illicit trade operates in North London. His character combines an intimidating manner with carefully chosen lines that can be funny as well as threatening.

The cast includes Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. The show’s wit, action and performances are part of its appeal, alongside the mix of humor and grit associated with creator Guy Ritchie’s work.

Critical response and chart rankings

The first season received mixed reviews, while critics gave Hardy credit for his gruff screen presence. The second season has a 90% critics’ score, compared with 77% for the first.

MobLand’s viewership and critical reception have risen since its first season premiered last year. FlixPatrol rankings place the series in the top ten on Netflix, HBO Max and SkyShowtime, and second on Paramount+ in the U.S. at the time of writing.

A fractured family faces danger

In Season 2, divisions within the Harrigan family are tested by a new threat that pushes them to reunite before their bloodline ends. The series has already been renewed for a third season.

MobLand remains a Paramount+ original in the U.S., where it competes with shows including Tulsa King and South Park. New episodes are released on Fridays on Paramount+ in the U.S.
