A24 Officially Drops the First Terrifying Teaser for Saulnier’s Thriller Slayground
A haunted attraction sets the scene
Jeremy Saulnier is returning to horror after Rebel Ridge. His earlier film Green Room followed a punk band trapped inside a venue after witnessing a murder, turning their attempt to escape into a tense thriller.
Slayground shifts the danger to a haunted attraction. The setting puts masks and blood in view, making it harder to judge what can be trusted and giving the story a starting point for a mystery.
Teaser reveals a wider search
A24’s official teaser introduces Slayground after an earlier teaser presented through security-camera footage. The new footage points to a story that reaches beyond the attraction and follows a desperate search for answers.
Theatrical release set for 2027
Slayground is scheduled to open in theaters January 29, 2027. Its haunted-attraction setting brings a Halloween nightmare into the new year. Saulnier’s previous work made violence feel sudden and frightening, while the new film places its mystery in a setting where appearances can be deceptive.
