Tom Hanks Mystery Thriller Angels & Demons Officially Leaves Netflix November 1

A race through Rome

Directed by Ron Howard, the 2009 film is based on Dan Brown’s novel. It is due to leave Netflix on November 1, alongside several other titles.

The novels and films differ

Angels & Demons was published in 2000 as the first chronological Langdon adventure. The Da Vinci Code, published in 2003, was the second book in the series. The movie release sequence went the other way: The Da Vinci Code arrived in theaters in 2006, followed by Angels & Demons in 2009. Inferno, another adaptation from the series, came out in 2016.

More Langdon on screen

Netflix is developing a series adaptation of the same book series. Morgan Spector, known for The Gilded Age, is set to star. Hanks has continued to release projects in front of and behind the camera. The article also notes that Finch was trending on Apple TV a month earlier.
