Farm Boy, L'Ancêtre and Life Smart organic cheeses recalled for possible Listeria contamination | CBC News

CFIA says recall was triggered by testing; no reported illnesses connected to affected products

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is recalling several organic cheese products under the Farm Boy, L'Ancêtre, and Life Smart brands due to possible Listeria contamination.

The affected products include Farm Boy organic Swiss, medium cheddar, old cheddar, extra sharp and three-year-old cheddar cheeses with a best before date of July 30, 2027.

L'Ancetre's organic Swiss cheese with a best before date of July 30, 2027, is also included.

The CFIA says people should not consume the product if they have it in their home, and to throw it out or return it to wherever they bought it. It warns that products that look and smell normal can still make someone sick.
