Discovery Plus is getting more expensive

Discovery Plus is raising the cost of its two subscriptions. The ad-supported option will rise from $5.99 to $6.99 per month, while the ad-free plan will increase from $9.99 to $11.99.

The change follows Paramount’s completed purchase of Warner Bros. Discovery, which owned Discovery Plus and HBO Max. The merged company, Skydance, says Paramount Plus and HBO Max are expected to become one service over time; whether Discovery Plus will stay separate has not been decided publicly.

Discovery Plus carries programming from TLC, Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network and Investigation Discovery. Some of its titles, including 90 Day Fiancé and Deadliest Catch, are also available through HBO Max.

New customers will pay the higher prices immediately. Existing subscribers will see the increase on a billing statement dated November 12 or later. The service last raised prices in January 2025.
