Trump says he

President Donald Trump said his administration is considering dismissing Kimberly Guilfoyle as U.S. ambassador to Greece. The move follows allegations tied to her conduct before her Senate confirmation.

An associate accused Guilfoyle of asking him to send $100,000 to cover an American Express bill, in return for assistance with the administration before her confirmation hearing. The sources said Guilfoyle knows Trump is weighing her future and has consulted her lawyer and administration aides.

Guilfoyle’s lawyer challenged the authenticity of text messages cited in The Wall Street Journal’s reporting. The associate said he did not have the money to make the alleged payment.

The Journal also reported that recordings captured Guilfoyle discussing Greek businesspeople who paid for her travel and urging foreign governments to work with a businessman. Guilfoyle was confirmed as ambassador in September 2025, after a Senate hearing in July. Trump has not announced a final decision.
