NASA dumped over 800GB of Artemis II data online

NASA has made more than 800 gigabytes of Artemis II material available through its Sights & Sounds of Science website. The release includes over 11,000 photos and videos, plus more than 8.5 hours of audio.
Some images include notes from the crew, including a marker showing where astronauts noticed flashes from impacts on the Moon’s far side. The archive also contains a video of the crew describing those observations to mission controllers in Houston.
Lunar impact flashes have been observed before. NASA’s article says the flashes reported by the Artemis II crew may have been among the faintest seen by human eyes, and the video captures the team’s excitement.
NASA also published three supporting documents: a preliminary lunar science report, an operations report, and a guide for users of the lunar science data. These records add context to the newly released media and research material.
The archive offers the public and researchers a broad look at mission observations. The released reports and data guide provide additional material for examining the crew’s lunar science work.
