McDonald’s Snack Wrap has returned in the UK, but some customers have complained about changes to the item. The Sun reported that people on social media missed the cheese and described the wrap as plain.
The UK version contains a chicken tender, black pepper mayonnaise and shredded lettuce. Unlike the US menu, which offers spicy and ranch options, the UK has just one version.
Business Insider reporters compared the wraps. US-based Erin McDowell liked the sauces and crisp chicken in the American options. UK-based Roya found the chicken tender and crunchy, but said her wrap was bland and too small for its price.
Roya also noted that the UK wrap lacks shredded cheese, which appeared in an earlier version, and that the filling was unevenly spread. She thought the mayonnaise was plentiful but would have preferred a choice of sauces.
The wrap can be upgraded through the app to a £5.59 medium meal with fries and a drink. Roya considered it suitable as a light snack, but not substantial enough to serve as a meal on its own.
