LG’s RGB LED TV is good, but others do it better

LG’s 75-inch Micro RGB evo MRGB95B is among the company’s new RGB LED TVs. The technology delivers strong brightness and color, but The Verge’s reviewer found drawbacks that cheaper rivals avoid.
The set has four HDMI 2.1 ports, Dolby Vision support, LG’s Magic Remote and access to major streaming apps through webOS. The reviewer said the system runs quickly but is harder to navigate than alternatives such as Google TV, Apple TV and Roku.
The review highlights inaccurate colors out of the box, a highly reflective screen and more blooming than competing models. Taken together, these issues undermine the value of a television priced at $3,600.
LG’s smart-TV privacy practices have also drawn scrutiny after Gamers Nexus reported security weaknesses and ongoing audio recording. LG disputed those claims. Buyers can skip webOS setup and keep the TV offline, but would need an external device for streaming.
The MRGB95B is available in three sizes, with 75 inches the smallest. The article does not identify a follow-up model or change to the set; its central finding is that competing RGB LED televisions offer a better choice.
