The best fried chicken shop in every state
Reported by Business Insider · October 7, 2026
When it comes to fried chicken, some spots simply do it better than others.
Business Insider worked with Yelp to compile a list of the best fried chicken in every state. The online review platform identified businesses in its restaurants and food categories with a high concentration of reviews mentioning "fried chicken." The spots were then ranked using several factors, including review volume and ratings.
When available, every restaurant on the list had a passing health score as of September 24, 2026. If a business with multiple locations appeared more than once, Yelp included only its highest-ranked location.
