Ukraine launches major drone attack on Russia’s Moscow region, killing two

Russian officials said a large overnight Ukrainian drone assault targeted Moscow and surrounding regions. Governor Andrei Vorobyov reported two deaths, in Radumlya and Barbybino, and seven injuries.
Vorobyov also said 47 houses, four apartments and three cars sustained damage. A warehouse in Moscow was set ablaze, according to the report.
A war blogger said an oil tank at the Volodarskaya storage complex was struck. The facility holds diesel, petrol and jet fuel, but officials had not confirmed the claim.
Ukraine has increasingly attacked Russian oil infrastructure, seeking to cut income used to support the war. Separately, Moscow-backed authorities said a Ukrainian strike on a minibus in occupied Zaporizhia killed three people.
The attacks come as both sides step up strikes, while efforts to secure peace have not ended the fighting. The UN has warned that civilian deaths are rising significantly.
