Skydance-owned Paramount has completed its $81 billion takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery, bringing the companies together as a new Hollywood giant.
The deal, finalized Tuesday after a roughly yearlong fight, combines two longtime film studios under the Skydance name and further concentrates power in the entertainment industry.
The combined company brings HBO Max, CNN and Warner Bros. titles together with Paramount+, CBS and Paramount’s film library. It is led by David Ellison and co-CEO Ynon Kreiz.
