Who is Mohammed Sanan?

Mohammed Sanan K is an Indian footballer who plays as a forward. He is 22 and has joined Kerala Blasters after playing for Jamshedpur FC. ¹

Sanan came through the Reliance Foundation Young Champs programme. He made his Indian Super League debut for Jamshedpur in the 2023-24 season. ¹

Which club has Mohammed Sanan joined?

Kerala Blasters announced Sanan’s signing on October 5, 2026. His contract runs through the end of the 2028-29 season. ¹

That makes this more than a short-term move: the published contract term covers three seasons beyond the 2025-26 campaign. The sources do not state the transfer fee or other contract terms. ¹

What position does Sanan play?

Sanan is primarily a left winger, meaning he usually attacks from the left side of the pitch. He can also play on the right or in central attacking positions, according to Sportstar. ¹

That flexibility gives the coach options for where to use him. It does not, on its own, tell us how often he will play or what role he will have in Kerala Blasters’ lineup.

How has Mohammed Sanan performed so far?

In 81 appearances for Jamshedpur across all competitions, Sanan recorded 13 goals and four assists. An assist is the final pass or contribution that sets up a teammate’s goal. ¹

He made 20 league appearances in his first ISL campaign and 24 in the 2024-25 season. Those figures show he had regular league appearances, but they do not establish how he will perform at his new club. ¹

Why are people talking about Sanan now?

The news is part of Kerala Blasters’ preparations for the 2026-27 ISL season. The club also announced goalkeeper Amrinder Singh and attacker Mohammad Yasir alongside Sanan on October 5. ¹

The Week reports that Kerala Blasters are entering a new season after finishing eighth in 2025-26 and changing coaches during that campaign. It says Ashley Westwood will continue as head coach for 2026-27. ² The report describes the new signings as part of the club’s squad-building, but it is too early to know what results they will bring.

What does the signing mean for an ordinary reader?

For supporters, it is a squad update: Sanan is a young attacker joining a club that is adding Indian players ahead of a new season. For readers who do not follow the ISL closely, the main facts are his previous club, position, contract length and record at Jamshedpur. ¹

A signing is not a guarantee of playing time or success. The available reports do not say when Sanan will make his first appearance for Kerala Blasters, how the coach plans to use him, or how he will fare in the 2026-27 season.
