Tennessee volleyball sweeps Alabama on Senior Day, finishes home slate 11-1 as No. 10

Tennessee controls first two sets
The Lady Vols took the opening set 25-17, led by Kennedi Rogers’ eight kills on .889 hitting. Chelsea Sutton contributed three blocks, while Caroline Kerr and Nia Hall had two apiece.
Tennessee opened the second set with four straight points and again won 25-17. Rogers used offspeed attacks to score, and Jolene Oddo added a block and a kill after entering the match. Coach Eve Rackham Watt praised Rogers’ decision-making and said Oddo provided a different offensive look.
Oddo sparks third-set run
Alabama stayed close early in the final set, tying the score six times, but never took the lead. After the Tide made it 9-9, Oddo helped fuel a 5-1 Tennessee stretch with three kills and a block alongside Jalyn Stout.
Tennessee later moved ahead 19-12 after kills from Sutton and Hall and an Alabama attack error. Alabama cut the margin to four with two Hannah Parant aces, but Raegan Burns answered with an ace as the Lady Vols rebuilt their lead.
Burns reaches career milestone
Burns recorded her 1,000th career dig during the match. Rackham Watt said she was glad the team could mark the achievement at home and added that she believed more was ahead for Burns.
Maggie Dostic scored two of Tennessee’s final three points, including the match-winning kill off a Kerr set. The Lady Vols completed the sweep with a 25-18 third-set win.
Tennessee improves in SEC play
Rogers finished with a match-high 15 kills on .444 hitting. Stout had 10 kills on 14 swings without an error, nine digs and two aces; Hall recorded four kills, four blocks and four digs.
