Netflix’s Best Spy Thriller Officially Returns After a 2-Year Wait for Season 2
Helen’s double life
Helen Webb is a devoted wife and mother who also works as a professional spy. For a decade, she has passed her politician husband’s secrets to the Black Doves, the shadowy organization she serves.
After her secret lover, Jason, is killed, Helen’s handler, Reed, calls on Helen’s old friend Sam to protect her. The series centers on a world of conspiracies, assassinations and uncertain loyalties.
A dangerous new season
In Season 2, Helen continues supplying the Black Doves with national secrets. Her position grows more precarious as her husband, Wallace, prepares to become prime minister, following the events of the previous Christmas.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Reed is caught in a ruthless effort to weaken her standing in the organization. Helen reunites with Sam, once a high-end triggerman and now taking low-paid jobs, as they look for answers and try to protect those they love.
Returning and new cast
Keira Knightley plays Helen Webb, with Ben Whishaw as Sam Young, Sarah Lancashire as Reed and Andrew Buchan as Wallace Webb. Andrew Koji plays Jason Davies; Ella Lily Hyland, Gabrielle Creevy and Luther Ford also appear.
Ambika Mod and Neve Campbell join the second season as new cast members. Both seasons of Black Doves are streaming exclusively on Netflix.
