IPO filing shows Anthropic’s deal with Elon Musk’s SpaceXAI is even bigger than investors knew

The SpaceXAI commitment grows

Anthropic’s public S-1 filing provides further details about the company’s finances and agreements ahead of an expected major IPO. It does not disclose a potential share price or target valuation.

Earlier Reuters reporting on the confidential prospectus put the SpaceXAI agreement at up to $84.5 billion through 2029. The newly released filing instead says Anthropic could spend as much as $120.5 billion, roughly $36 billion more.

Payments and cancellation terms

The agreement covers access to computing capacity powered by NVIDIA GPUs, with the arrangement extending into 2029. Anthropic expects delivery of all that capacity by the end of this year.

After delivery, Anthropic is expected to pay SpaceXAI about $3.1 billion per month. Once the initial non-cancelable periods conclude in early 2027, either company may end the agreements with 90 days’ notice.

Other infrastructure spending

The filing also details other multibillion-dollar infrastructure commitments. Anthropic has agreed to spend at least $114.5 billion with Google through July 2033 and at least $44.9 billion with Microsoft through May 2033.

Its commitment to Amazon is at least $110 billion through April 2036. Together, these agreements add to the large volume of AI infrastructure spending across the industry, with Anthropic and OpenAI among its central participants.
