In Truth Social rant, Trump claims Fox News spends too much time defending ‘Dumocrats’
Trump urges viewers to switch channels
Trump told supporters to watch his Monday rally in Kansas on RSBN rather than Fox News. He described the network’s early coverage as great and criticized Fox for being too politically correct.
RSBN, short for Right Side Broadcasting News, is a conservative network founded by Joe Seales, who calls himself a Trump superfan. It is available on Rumble and YouTube.
A recurring dispute with Fox
Trump’s relationship with Fox, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch, has shifted with its coverage. He praises the network when it reports positively on his presidency, but lashes out when it criticizes him or gives a platform to political opponents.
Earlier this month, Trump complained that Fox did not broadcast his Ohio rally, held in a last-ditch effort to increase Republican turnout ahead of the midterm elections. He said supporters would stop watching if the network did not show rallies and report on them.
Complaints over Democratic guests
Trump has also objected to Fox interviewing Democrats on the left, including Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. Last month, he accused the network of giving Democrats airtime without rebuttal and said MAGA supporters were unhappy.
He has argued that rallies attract strong crowds and ratings for outlets that cover them properly. Trump also questioned who makes Fox’s coverage decisions and claimed the network had fired Maria Bartiromo after she complained about not being allowed to cover him.
