Ronaldo banned 30 days and fined $285 after spat with coach Jesus

Dispute before Denmark match
Ronaldo left Portugal’s base in Copenhagen before the Nations League match against Denmark earlier this month. He had accused Jesus of breaking his word twice about Ronaldo’s role after the forward was an unused substitute against Norway.
Federation upholds charge
On Monday, the Portuguese Football Association’s disciplinary council upheld the charge in full and imposed a 30-day suspension. It also set a fine of 255 euros, equivalent to $285.83.
Ban’s scope remains unclear
The council’s statement did not say which matches or activities the suspension would cover. It also did not specify whether time already served under a provisional suspension would count toward the 30 days.
Ronaldo said he remained available for selection after serving any punishment arising from the incident. Portuguese FA president Pedro Proenca said everyone within the federation wanted Ronaldo back in the national team once the matter was resolved.
