You can't see everything, but you can see more of the disquieting new doc

If the teaser trailer for You Can See Everything made you feel awkward and uncomfortable, the two-minute, 20-second version won't do anything to ease your distress.

The documentary by Canadian filmmaker Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim was filmed in the 34 days before Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes went to prison to serve an 11-year sentence for defrauding business investors.

The film crew, and Fielder in particular, is openly skeptical, posing challenging questions as Holmes insists she has nothing to hide, maintaining her innocence — and even shedding a single tear as she stares earnestly into the interviewer's eyes.

"What begins as an intimate portrait of an enigmatic felon becomes a mind-bending, three-year journey into the abyss," said production company A24 in its logline for the film.

The full-length trailer also gives viewers a glimpse of Holmes's relationship with her husband Billy Evans, who comes from a family of successful hoteliers. The pair met back in 2017, as Theranos was collapsing.

In 2014, Holmes became the youngest self-made female billionaire in the U.S., according to Forbes, by claiming she had developed a technology that could cheaply screen for hundreds of diseases using just a few drops of blood from a finger prick.

The following year, the first federal criminal charges were filed against her.

In the documentary, Fielder, who is known for his satirical show Nathan for You, is seen questioning Evans about his relationship with Holmes.

Holmes and Evans had their first child in August 2021, mere months before she was convicted of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud.

She revealed she was pregnant with her second child shortly after she was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison.

"You've never been suspicious that she's ever lied to you?" an incredulous Fielder again asks Evans.
